Ingredients:
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp ghee or butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam (hot spices)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
- Salt, to taste
- Cilantro/Coriander leaves, for garnish
Directions:
- Heat the ghee or butter and oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until they are soft and lightly browned.
- Add the ginger paste, garlic paste, and green chillies, and sauté for a minute.
- Add the tomato puree, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook the mixture for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oil separates from the masala.
- Add the chicken pieces and stir until they are coated with the masala. Cook the chicken for 10-12 minutes, or until it is cooked through.
- Add the heavy cream and kasuri methi, and stir well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with naan, rice or roti.
